New Islamic School in Pendle

It seems that Gordon Prentice, the BNP and the Conservatives are attacking plans for a new Islam High School in Pendle, I ask why? Clearly if a charity is able to bring community facilities, education and overall new standards to the community why are we stopping them from doing this?

The school is to be set up in a mill that is no longer used, why are we sacrificing education and community facilities for a mill that would never be used and would just sit there abandoned?

Clearly it’s not on, I am all for community cohesion but if we are going to stop faith schools being built, the ethnic minority community is just being singled out which will just add wood to the fire for the BNP.

My message to Gordon Prentice is, put up or shut up. Gordon Prentice has come out firing away alongside the BNP at the plans for a new school and personally I think this is damn out of order and personally I believe Gordon Prentice should hang his head in shame.

What has this Labour government//MP done to bring new community facilities and better education in faith schools into the Borough of Pendle? Nothing, it’s this that gets me wound up with these people. Why stop action taking place, especially if you haven’t done anything yourself.
Faith schools? Yes please, we should allow people to build their own schools; we can’t simply decline a community’s proposal to build a school for themselves, its not on.

Eye-Gate?

Harry Cole has written a serious blog post on his new site about the Eye-Gate that we might come across if the media story surrounding Brown's letter to the grieving mother isn't brought to an end. It seems that Harry like me believes that unless the story comes to an end, Brown might come out with his eye troubles and might try and get sympathy.

Personally I have already give Brown sympathy in a post, I will give him some more, Brown is a bad politician, bad Prime Minister but what he did by writing that letter should be something the grieving mother should have honoured and not taken it to the media.

If Brown was to come out in the open and say he was near enough blind from one eye, could that get him sympathy from the voters and improve his chances in the polls? I think it could, people love a sob story, it's what gets them emotional and everyone knows emotion can lead to many things.

My view of this issue is that Brown doesn't have enough support from the rest of the party leaders, why haven't Nick Clegg and Cameron come out in support of the Prime Minister? I don't know but personally I think they should, I would have expected them to come out in the open and tell the world that an eye problem and spelling difficulties are not affecting him as a Prime Minister and he is doing an excellent job.

Will anyone come out in support of Brown? Nope, mind you a Liberal Democrats Blogger, yes yours truly has already come out in support of Brown!

PB Betting Six

Interesting stuff is happening over at Political Betting, if you are wondering what I am on about head over to the site and read about the big betting six. It seems that a table is being created of the big six betters from PB, the seats they have put money on, for the next general election and which party they are putting their money on.

It seems that the first table has been released and it has brought up some interesting results. Eight of the seats have Lib Dem backing from three of the betters, now personally I see that as being something to cheer about, especially with the fact that four of them are Labour seats that the betters think will switch hands.

I will be keeping an index of these tables, I personally think you all should keep a track on them on a personal note but if you don't want to keep a tab on the tables then keep watching this blog which will publish a link to all tables as they come out, I will then do a page on it for the index.

Is there a political future for David Miliband

Is there a political future for David Miliband? I don't think there is, it seems that the numpty on every chance possible is blowing his future away. I know he wants to stay loyal to Brown, but why is he giving his own career in politics the back seat at the moment. I have always believed that David Miliband would make a great leader of the Labour party, he would get the crowds in, would probably get the grassroots united and overall would be a benefit to Labour but it seems they are not seeing this whole situation like I am.

So what will Miliband do? When Brown is going and a leadership election is called, will Miliband put his name forward? If he has a single bit of sense in him he will, Miliband is capable but for some reason isn't throwing his hat into the ring.

What can we as a country do to get rid of Brown and have a Prime Minister that actually does what a Prime Minister is meant to do? We should hope that Labour have an internal election, get rid of Brown, make someone like Johnson or Miliband the leader of the Labour party and fight the Tories head on.

I still believe Labour can win the next election, although it might sound a little out of place I believe if Labour have a change of leader, got the troops united, I believe they can win.

How many of you reading this want Cameron to be the Prime Minister? Not many showed your hands, why is that. For the simple reason that Cameron is bad news, Labour might be terrible but Cameron is a no go area compared to them. Hence I live in hope of a Labour win at the next election...
