Hague under fire for comments against Iran

William Hague has today been slammed by Irfan Ahmed for hypocrisy; this comes after William Hague MP - the British Foreign Secretary - launched an attack on Iran for supplying the Taliban with weapons.

Irfan attacked Mr Hague and the UK Government for supplying arms to countries that are currently going through internal wars, Irfan also criticised the British Prime Minister David Cameron for taking British weapon manufacturers to the Middle East on an official visit only a few weeks ago.

Irfan Ahmed said:

"First Britain sells weapons to the likes of Egypt and Israel and then they openly attack Iran for doing the same with the Taliban. I sense hypocrisy and it is really putting me off the government.

"Iran is absolutely wrong in selling arms to the Taliban, but so is Britain for supplying Israel with arms. When Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg was in opposition he attacked the sale of British arms to Israel, why has he not spoken about this since getting into power? I believe it has something to do with keeping Cameron and Hague happy."

Irfan added that the government needed to get its self in order before attacking other countries.
