Ahmed slams new 'StartUp Britain' plans

Irfan Ahmed has slammed the new scheme by the Conservative-led government to offer new businesses free vouchers and promos to help them launch their business ideas. Irfan believes the idea is a little silly and cheap promotions will not help new businesses but hard cash and very low interest rates on loans will instead help new businesses.

Irfan Ahmed said:

"Cheap promotional gear will not help any new business, a new business doesn't need cheap promotion it needs very low interest rates on loans and it needs on the ground advertisement, not a Google advert.

"The whole project is a farce and the Tory-led government needs to realise this, why did the government spend thousands of pounds launching a cheap vouchers website when it should be looking to do a deal between taxpayer owned banks to offer start up businesses with loans on low interest rates?"

Irfan Ahmed called on the government to look at doing a deal with taxpayer owned banks about low interest rates on loans and to stop beating around the bush on the issue of helping Britain's entrepreneurs.
